What’s happening in my life is not something I can proclaim to be happening. I can barely describe with the English language the profound shifts that are occurring within me at alarming rates. Although my understanding of everything is that I truly know nothing, my current comprehension of surrender allows for this reality to be more than okay.
In order to expand, we must let go because gripping onto the past ensures it becomes our future. I used to create mania for myself out of my need to know. Whether that be what the next move is going to be or how a decision / situation will turn out — I was addicted to knowing.
This addiction led to spoiled opportunities and sloppy manifestations. My impatience and general lack of faith created bittersweet realities which were hybridized nightmares of what I truly desired. So, I blamed myself for all my “failures” and “short-comings.” I perceived myself to be less than — cursed even.
However, I began to recognize that it wasn’t “me” per se that needed to know. It was only my ego. This unacknowledged part of me doesn’t like surprises. It needs to be prepared for anything. Yet, this often left me under-prepared and anxious about everything.
PAYING SENSE TO THE ART OF SURRENDER
My life goal is to live where I work, work where I live, be on vacation everyday, while doing nothing in particular. To achieve this paradox requires surrendering into what the Universe is guiding me to do or be in each moment. It takes donning the patient presence necessary to discern when to go left, when to go right, or when to keep going straight.
The moments of our lives are like snow flakes, each one its own unique design. They are often similar to other moments we’ve experienced. Yet, they are different each “time” because we are different. This requires us to see the similar situation from a different perspective to successfully perceive the lessons being taught.
Patience means to “pay sense” and is an essential practice to master surrender. We must not jump to conclusions even if we think we know what to do. We must stop and pay the moment our six senses to completely comprehend the situation. True expansion takes being. Thinking, knowing, and doing are not states of being. In order to be we must surrender. From there, patience is bred. Which is the second essential practice to mastering surrender.
AN ART THAT TAKES AWARENESS TO MASTER
Presence requires being “in the moment.” Each moment requires our total awareness. This, being the third essential practice to master surrender, allows us to pay sense to what is happening in and around us. To become aware takes presence. To be present takes surrender. To stay surrendered takes awareness. These three concepts work interdependently together to form cohesion which to expand from.
Awareness is a choice. It is also an act. The act of awareness is done through intentional breathing and focused thought. We often times have trouble staying aware because of all the noise happening within the quantum computer brains of ours. Yet, we fail to realize that our natural affinity for short, shallow breaths, causes us to stay in a “fight or flight” brain wave state. This leads us to “thinking” instead of “being.”
Being and awareness work within one another because you can’t have one without the other. When we breathe deep methodical breaths, we move into a present state of awareness. This slows our brainwave frequency down from a “Beta-B” to an “Alpha” brainwave state. When we focus on our breathing, the past or present no longer exists. We cannot think about anything else when focused on our breathing.
All the noise within the quantum computer dies down leaving only focused thought with which to operate from. Being that we have successfully moved into an alpha brainwave state means we can now access the logical and creative parts of our brain to make well-balanced decisions with. Through listening, observing, and surrendering we can leverage this increased state of awareness for complete success, every time, without expectation of loss or failure.
CREATING SYNERGY FOR EXPANSION
Because my favorite thing to do is nothing yet my human always wants to be doing means that I have to strike a balance between the two to create synergy for expansion. If I fall too far to one or the other side of the spectrum, i move off-kilt and life becomes a struggle once again. Only through surrender am I able to regain and/or maintain balance.
I no longer push or pull nor try and effort. I let the Universe show me the way by staying present. I listen to the signs and synchronicities by staying aware. If I find myself in resistance — I simply surrender. I then move myself back into a conscious baseline of awareness which is established through cohesion of the three.
This way, I guarantee that I am “doing nothing” as the Universe is working though me. I am being an energetic conduit, co-creating and manifesting the NOW realities being experienced in each one of my lived moments.
In the end, we can’t be disappointed when there were no set expectations. We can’t get upset with the way things turn out when we know every single outcome is divinely perfect. We can’t be ashamed of an effort made if we did the best we could and truly believe it was enough.
Only through a deeper comprehension of surrender does this come to be. Only through the essential practices of patience, presence, and awareness is this fully accepted. This leaves me with zero expectation of outcome leading to ensured bliss and maximum expansion.
From there anything is possible. From here everything is plausible.
With Gratitude,
